How much does asbestos removal cost?
Prices vary by contractor, access and the condition of the material. These are general UK guide ranges, not a quote from us.
Typical ranges
UK firms commonly quote around £600 to £1,000 for removing and disposing of the roof of a single garage, and around £1,000 to £1,600 for a double garage. Adding a new roof usually brings the total to roughly £2,000 to £3,500 for a single and £3,400 to £4,800 for a double.
What changes the price
Size, access, how fragile or broken the sheets are, how much waste there is, the condition of the timbers and whether a new roof is included all matter. Licensed work, such as damaged lagging or insulating board, costs considerably more.
Getting a fair quote
Ask for a written quote that says what is included, how the sheets will be removed, and where the waste goes. Quotes from independent contractors are given after they have seen photos or inspected the job.
